Bridgework

A bridge is a fixed restoration used to replace a missing tooth/ teeth by attaching replacement artificial teeth to prepared adjacent teeth or dental implants.

There are different types of bridges; bonded bridges, tooth supported bridges and implant supported bridges. Following tooth/ teeth preparation and impressions, bridges are made in the laboratory and are fitted at a subsequent appointment. The materials used in the fabrication of bridges include; gold, porcelain fused to metal, or in some situations porcelain alone (all ceramic).

Provided they are kept clean, bridges are a fixed, highly aesthetic and long-lasting way to replace missing teeth.
